Confidence for parents. Curiosity for children.

Background
Early learning is one of the most important stages in a child’s development. So when we were asked to create a name and visual identity for a boutique early learning centre, we embraced it with our own childlike wonder.
In a crowded childcare market, The Children’s Atelier stood out with a clear difference. Their Reggio Emilia philosophy places curiosity at the centre of growth.

Challenge
In the emotionally charged childcare category, the challenge was to reassure parents, while allowing the centre’s expertise to shine.
The brand needed to feel warm without being sentimental. Educational without being institutional. And premium without losing its humanity.

Solution
Through workshops and strategic discovery, one idea kept resurfacing. Parents seek confidence. Children thrive on curiosity. This became the backbone of our ideation.
An ‘atelier’ is a creative studio for movement and play. The perfect word for a creative early learning centre. And so, the Children’s Atelier was born.
The visual identity was designed to express both structure and openness. To support the wordmark, we created The Curiosity Arc, symbolising a child’s journey of discovery.
We chose a colour palette that draws from nature, childhood, and the Australian environment. Typography balances character and clarity. While photography sparks the imagination and captures the supportive interactions between educators and children.
Together, these elements form a system that feels thoughtful, warm, and quietly confident.
The Outcome
The Children’s Atelier immediately stood out in the category, achieving that balance of reassurance for parents and inspiration for children.
From enrolment materials to learning environments, we created a compass for decision making, and a framework for every future Children’s Atelier.

The Scooter difference
We see your brand’s design as more than a surface-level expression. We go deeper. And when grounded in insight and philosophy, it speaks volumes about you. It becomes a tool for trust, alignment, and long-term growth.
