Transforming the gift with purchase

Background
Every year, Australia’s own Accent paint brings out a set of Building Blocks collectibles. In ’25, Accent decided it needed a Blocks set with more impact. One that could build momentum year on year.

Challenge
When you need impact, no one does it like action heroes. Meet Accent’s first ever Tradie-Mechs, the all-new heroes of the paint aisle.
More than just stand out, we wanted them to practically burst out. An attention-grabbing theme and eye-catching design were essential to make sure this wasn’t just another gift with purchase promotion.

Solution
We turned Accent’s range of Block collectibles into one mighty superhero squad. The real shopper showstopper was our larger-than-life Tradie-Mechs that led people to Accent paint.
Even parents got in on the action, wanting to get their hands on the golden Jack of All Trades that came with a bonus $1,000 gift card.
A year later, we released the sequel. And it didn’t disappoint. In true superhero movie style, the new 2-in-1 Tradie-Mech launched in a teaser at trade shows, before appearing in stores.
Like a powerful mech-bot, we supercharged Accent’s yearly promotion. Does that make us heroes? No, we’re just doing what we do best.

The Scooter Difference
From helping name the heroes to the shopper design, we worked alongside Accent every step of the way to make sure the Tradie-Mechs would have real cut through in the cluttered marketplace.
